The Rotary Club of Vancouver (RCV) will celebrate its 100th Anniversary on April 13th 2013. This is not just a celebration for the Rotary Club of Vancouver but a Celebration for Rotary Clubs all across British Columbia. We want every Rotary Club and every Rotarian in BC to join us in this event.
In late 2010, the Club created a 100th Anniversary Advisory Team to assist their Board in establishing a Vision and Strategies for their 100th Anniversary. After much discussion, the team felt strongly that this important, historical anniversary should be shared by all clubs in BC. They also felt that celebrations and projects/events on a province-wide scale could create a wide ranging visibility for Rotary and significantly raise Rotary’s profile. If all clubs participated at the same time in April 2013 (the anniversary of the first club in BC) but sponsored their own individual projects/events in their own community it would have greater impact.
We welcome your ideas and suggestions on how we can celebrate this historic event. You are invited to post your thoughts on this blog.
