Project 1) Truck Project – Dominican RepublicThe purchase of a new diesel truck will help immensely to continue humanitarian work in this Country
This initiative seeks to show children how to grow vegetables and berries, and (in some cases) how to raise chickens for meat and eggs.
There is so much corruption there that we are unable to provide aid through the Rotary World Help Network. Aid has been requested in the form of cash, which can be used to purchase these desperately needed supplies.
Project 4) Classroom Furniture for Uganda
The Rotary Club of Vancouver and the World Community Service Committee will equip one classroom (40 tables and chairs) at a cost of $4000 Canadian. This contribution will make a significant impact on the training opportunities available for health workers in Uganda.
This Humanitarian Aid is for numerous County old people and invalid homes, orphanages and the Polva Regional Hospital
Project 6) Project SCANN (Street Children Assistance Network of Nakuru)
This project is to assist SCANN (Street Children Assistance Network of Nakuru), a local community charitable Foundation providing desperately needed literacy, education, food and shelter and 24 hour support and medical care for abandoned children (ages three to eighteen) on the streets of Nakuru.
